Approved Study Abroad Programs

In addition to our signature study abroad and domestic study away programs, Muhlenberg students have an enormous number of affiliated programs that they can explore for study abroad opportunities that will take them all over the globe.

Students are encouraged to review the full list of approved programs through the Horizons system and utilize the study abroad / away websites of the affiliated partners listed below to explore the approved programs in greater detail. Students should then contact the Office of Global Education with any questions and for advising about program offerings at [email protected].

Access the Horizons System Database

Here you'll find information on available study abroad / away opportunities at Muhlenberg. Anyone can access the database to browse available programs. Muhlenberg students interested in selecting a program to study abroad / away should review the instructions below before applying.

Using the Horizons System Database

The Horizons system is accessible to any visitors browsing our available study abroad programs. We suggest you use the filters to narrow your search by provider, location, language of instructions and/or academic interest. Links on these program pages will take you to external websites for our affiliated partners and provide an extensive overview of the program.

Muhlenberg students can use the Horizons System to browse available programs and complete an application to study away or abroad. Follow the directions below to learn more.

Muhlenberg Student Horizons System How-To Guide

Muhlenberg students will use their Muhlenberg credentials to log in and begin an application.

You will only be able to apply to one program per term, so be sure you have done your research and made a decision on where you would like to study abroad / away before beginning your application.

Muhlenberg students will also be able to edit their profiles and view upcoming events when they log in to the system.
Once a student begins an application, they will follow the system prompts to complete all steps. Be sure you press the submit button when you are ready to submit your application.
Once approved by the Office of Global Education, students will have a second section to complete in Horizons before traveling abroad. Students will also need to apply directly to the affiliated partner. We will share instructions on how to do this once they are approved through the Office of Global Education.
It is important that students log in to the Horizons system consistently to view important announcements and complete the required steps to study abroad / away.
