Auditions & Interviews
An audition or portfolio review is not required to study theatre at Muhlenberg — but it can be a great way to get to know our program and pursue a talent scholarship.
With its emphasis on exploration and collaboration, the Theatre Program at Muhlenberg serves as excellent preparation for a career in theatre — or a career anywhere else.
As a theatre major, you’ll explore an academic program designed to provide you a thorough background in the history, theory and literature of performance, with frequent opportunities for structured studio experiences in performance and design. Small class sizes allow for personalized instruction, with work that is intensive, demanding and rewarding. You'll be encouraged to individualize your education to fulfill all of your personal, creative and intellectual goals.
The theatre production program reinforces the philosophy that the study of theatre is both intellectual and practical. Serious training and intense interaction of faculty and students as artists provide a collaborative atmosphere. You'll have extensive opportunities in theatre and dance — and you'll be encouraged to participate in the Department's award-winning productions, exploring your interests through exciting, diverse performance experiences, from intimate blackbox dramas to Broadway-style musicals.

Our full-time and visiting faculty and professional staff will be your guides, mentors and collaborators.
