Share your interests, explore options for your First Year Seminar and other courses that are appropriate for first year students, and tell us about your past college-level work.
Workday is Muhlenberg’s student information system, where you will do everything from course registration to updating your personal information. Prior to Summer Connections, you must complete the New Student onboarding tasks. These tasks will be available to complete starting on May 16.
Students may not register for a Math, Language, or Chemistry course until they complete the appropriate placement exam. If you don’t plan on taking a course in one or more of these areas, you are not required to take the placement exam. Placement exams ensure that you are in classes appropriate for your level of knowledge and experience.
For students interested in music ensembles and/or music lessons, please complete the music placement form. The information you provide will be used for placement in ensembles and/or individual applied lessons.
Almost all incoming students with interests in the Natural Sciences or the health professions will take BIO 160 as their first Biology course. However, some exceptionally well-prepared students may be given an exemption (not course credit) for the introductory biology course (i.e., BIO 160), allowing them to roster BIO 165. If you’re interested in being considered for the BIO 160 exemption, please review the Biology Placement document for more information.
