One of only three sophomores to make the first or second teams, Bauer is a double major in biology and music who placed fifth in the javelin at the NCAA Outdoor Championships to earn All-America honors. He was named Most Outstanding Performer of Centennial Conference Championships after setting a meet record and winning the javelin by almost 25 feet.
The two-time CC javelin champion and two-time CC athlete of the week broke the 11-year-old school record of 196-7 in his first meet of the year and raised the standard to 214-5 by season’s end. Bauer also was one of only four Division III athletes to place at the IC4A Championships, coming in eighth.
