Joining a Panhellenic sorority: There is more than just one way to join. Please note that there is not a minimum GPA requirement to register for the primary recruitment process or to attend recruitment events, however, organizations may have set academic requirements that need to be met in order to receive a bid and maintain membership.

Primary Recruitment takes place at the beginning of the spring semester. It’s a great way to meet all four of our organizations! This is a structured process that includes specific timed rounds, invitation lists, and limits to the number of sororities a potential member might meet each round. This is when most members join - all of our chapters have opportunities to add new members at this time! Primary recruitment is open to all first year, second semester students, as well as, unaffiliated sophomore, junior, and senior students.

Primary recruitment will take place from Tuesday, January 21 - Friday, January 24, 2025. Registration closes on Sunday, January 19 at midnight.

Continuous Open Bidding (COB) is a way for Panhellenic sororities to add members to their sisterhood throughout the remainder of the Spring and throughout the Fall semester. Most of the time, the participating sororities invite potential members to meals or other fun social activities. If you are interested in sorority membership, and a chapter invites you to a COB event, you are encouraged to attend. Continuous Open Bidding does not operate on a specific schedule. Please be advised that COB is different from Primary Recruitment, it does not guarantee that all chapters will have opportunities to join or will outreach to interested students.

If you have any questions regarding the Panhellenic recruitment process please contact the Associate Director of Student Life, Natalie Shaw, or the Panhellenic Council.

Participation in fraternity recruitment allows students to meet other students and learn about our fraternities!

Fraternity recruitment at Muhlenberg College does not require a registration. Therefore it is in your best interest to take the initiative to reach out to chapters you would like to get to know. The best avenue to do this is through the chapter’s social media pages or through the IFC instagram account.

Recruitment is open for all first year, second semester students, sophomores, juniors, and seniors and takes place in the beginning of the spring semester. The Inter-Fraternity Council, at its discretion, may authorize another recruitment week at the start of the fall semester. Anyone interested in joining is required to have a minimum 2.5 GPA, however, higher academic requirements may be set forth by individual organizations.

If you have any questions regarding fraternity recruitment, please contact the Associate Director of Student Life, Natalie Shaw, or the Interfraternal Council.
